| How does dampness affect my boat throughout the year? |
|
Dampness and humidity is the number one enemy for boats whether they are in use or in drydock. In summer, dampness will increase the perception of high temperatures, and in winter, due to how dampness facilitates heat dispersion; the perception of cold is also increased. Throughout the year, humidity affects the drying of wall coverings, clothes, sails and all surfaces which retain humidity. If the dampness is not removed in a timely fashion, mildew will be generated and will result in unpleasant odours generated below deck.
If the problem is not caught early enough, much damage can occur to all interior surfaces, resulting in costly repairs and replacement. The Marine GEOtronic? products are especially helpful in reducing humidity in all seasons, and only needs the selection of the correct model to meet personal requirements. |
